New Manufacturing Facility & Office Building for MEC Regina Office March 22, 2011
MEC's Regina office has seen substantial growth during the past few years. As a result, a new manufacturing facility and office building is being built to accommodate that growth. The new building contains a 13,000 square-foot manufacturing facility with a 10 ton crane, 8,600 square-feet of office space on the first floor and 8,400 square-feet on the second floor. Included in the office space is a training room, lunch room and board rooms on both the first and second floor. The facility sits on 9.5 acres of land.
MEC is the general contractor for this project, while Tom Hakl is the Project Manager. The project broke ground in November of 2010 and concrete/foundation work started later that month. Steel erection began in January of 2011, while completion is expected toward the end of summer 2011.
