FLEX ENGINEERING – A NEW APPROACHMEC has adopted the philosophy of ‘Flex Engineering’ whereby engineering time is flexible and divided between design work and fieldwork. This ensures that our Engineers gain practical insight into their designs and thereby become well-rounded professionals. Engineering fieldwork includes managing the installation and commissioning of new projects alongside our Journeyperson Electricians and Engineering Technologists, troubleshooting problems and developing practical solutions to correct deficiencies in electrical systems. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITIES – All MEC OfficesWe are seeking Electrical Engineers to be based out of Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Ontario. Successful candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and be working towards, or have obtained their P.Eng. Candidates must have 5+ years of both design and field experience in power systems engineering. Responsibilities will include complex electrical analysis and design, performing electrical system modelling and analysis including arc flash analysis, protection evaluation/coordination,short circuit calculations/equipment evaluation, and load flow and harmonics analysis.
